A TRUE LEADER

A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others. He does not set out to be a leader, but becomes one by the equality of his actions and the integrity of his intent. General Douglas MacArthur

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40:29-31

MORNING PRAYER

Morning Verse
"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, etc." Matthew 6:9
This prayer begins where all true prayer must commence, with the spirit of adoption, "Our Father." There is no acceptable prayer until we can say, "I will arise, and go unto my Father." This child-like spirit soon perceives the grandeur of the Father "in heaven," and ascends to devout adoration, "Hallowed be Thy name." The child lisping, "Abba, Father," grows into the cherub crying, "Holy, Holy, Holy." There is but a step from rapturous worship to the glowing missionary spirit, which is a sure outgrowth of filial love and reverent adoration—"Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Next follows the heartfelt expression of dependence upon God—"Give us this day our daily bread." Being further illuminated by the Spirit, he discovers that he is not only dependent, but sinful, hence he entreats for mercy, "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors:" and being pardoned, having the righteousness of Christ imputed, and knowing his acceptance with God, he humbly supplicates for holy perseverance, "Lead us not into temptation." The man who is really forgiven, is anxious not to offend again; the possession of justification leads to an anxious desire for sanctification. "Forgive us our debts," that is justification; "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil," that is sanctification in its negative and positive forms. As the result of all this, there follows a triumphant ascription of praise, "Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever, Amen." We rejoice that our King reigns in providence and shall reign in grace, from the river even to the ends of the earth, and of His dominion there shall be no end. Thus from a sense of adoption, up to fellowship with our reigning Lord, this short model of prayer conducts the soul. Lord, teach us thus to pray.

Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed.  He answers himfrom his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.  Psalm 20:6-7

If you keep My commandments

"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love." - John 15:10

Parents, what is the greatest proof of your children's love for you? Is it when they say they love you? That's great, but it's not proof. The truth is, the greatest proof of their love for you is when they obey you...willingly.

Many people miss this truth. They say they love God, maybe even go to church regularly, but there is little evidence of real love for God in their lives, because of their disobedience.

A recent poll showed that 80% of Americans believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. That same poll reflected that more than 70% felt every individual has to decide right or wrong for himself. That's saying one thing and doing another.

Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." The proof of our love for God is our willingness to obey Him and His commands. Doesn't it make you feel great when your child willingly obeys you? Why don't you give God the same joy? Obey Him because it's your desire to do so. Love Him like you want to be loved by your own child.

Need a Good Dose of Joy?

Need a Good Dose of Joy?
"A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones." - Proverbs 17:22

Do you need a good dose of joy? It really is good medicine.

Years ago, Psychology Today magazine published an article, "Laugh and Be Well." In the article, Norman Cousin wrote about a remarkable recovery from a disabling condition through massive doses of Vitamin C and comedy clips. His experience spawned a new field of scientific research studying how the brain influences the immune system.

Funny, the Bible has said the same thing all along. In Proverbs, God's Word says, "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." Do you need a good dose of joy; yet nothing seems to ease the pain?

Know what? You CAN find joy. It is found in a person who is the source of a lasting joy that overcomes the heartaches of life. His name is Jesus.

Jesus says, "I've told you these things, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full."

We all need to enjoy laughter. It's good medicine. But lasting joy is only found in Jesus.

A Clean Slate

A Clean Slate
"When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross." - Colossians 2:13-14

Do we really comprehend the incredible gift we were given when Jesus died for our sins? Not that we take this act for granted, but we have spoken about it so routinely that we might not absorb the full scope of this gift.

It's as though all of our sins were listed on a writing board. And then Christ has come along with a cloth and erased them forever. It's as though they were never even there. On that board, somebody puts a receipt that says, "PAID IN FULL." That's what the nails of the cross did—paid the penalty for our sin in full. Christ has done it all. Our sins have been nailed to the cross; they've been taken care of. Nothing more is needed for forgiveness other than our accepting this amazing gift.

Have you done that? Have you claimed the liberating forgiveness of knowing that Christ has paid the full debt of your sins? If not, why not let Christ give you a clean slate? After all, He's already "paid in full." Our choice is simply to accept His gift in faith.

Self-Appointed Judges

Self-Appointed Judges
"Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day." - Colossians 2:16

Jesus was attacked by legalists throughout His ministry. Perhaps the most outrageous example of this was when He healed a man with a withered hand. The Pharisees attacked Him because He had performed this miracle on the Sabbath. That's right, Jesus was accused of law-breaking because healing was considered work, and Jewish law forbade doing work on the Sabbath.

Understand this about the Pharisees: they were the self-appointed judges. They were constantly looking to accuse Jesus Christ because they felt He was oblivious to their concern for their man-made rules and traditions.

While rarely as outrageous as those Pharisees, this type of legalism continues today. Some people serve as self-appointed judges—or enforcers—of man-made rules for godly living. This can happen in all religions. But it's especially sad when Christian denominations and churches impose man-made rules that are imposters to real faith. The Bible states the rules fully and unequivocally. And with so many, how great it is that Jesus' life shows us how to live them out completely. How great it is that Jesus sums them all up with the Great Commandment, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and your neighbor as yourself."

HOW TO READ BAR CODES

For everyone who is concerned about the source of the products they buy...ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY!
With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read label at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products.
Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is  located.
It is important to read the bar code to track it's origin.
How to read Bar Codes .... interesting!
This may be useful to know when grocery shopping, if it's a concern to you.
GREAT WAY TO "BUY USA  &  CANADA " AND NOT FROM CHINA!!

The whole world is concerned about China-made "black hearted goods".
Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or  China ?

If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690 691 or 692, the product isMADE IN  CHINA.
471 is Made in Taiwan .
This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the
public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves.

Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN CHINA", so they don't show from which country it is made.

However, you may now refer to the barcode - remember if the first 3 digits are:

690-692 ... then it is MADE IN  CHINA
00 - 09 ...  USA  &  CANADA
30 - 37   FRANCE
40 - 44  GERMANY
471 ...  Taiwan
49 ... JAPAN
50 ...  UK

BUY USA & CANADIAN MADE by watching for "0" at the beginning of the number.
We need every boost we can get!  Pass this on to everybody .

The government won't help us, so we MUST help ourselves.

God Has Great Plans For Your Life

God Has Great Plans For Your Life
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." - Psalm 51:17

Are you struggling with a life-crisis caused by a personal character flaw, indiscretion, or misstep? Consider the mess Moses got himself into. At age 39, Moses was at the apex of society, of status, of wealth, of educational pedigree, as the adopted son of the most prominent man in the world - Pharaoh. He was at the pinnacle of all society. And then he murdered an Egyptian he saw beating a slave. He buried the body and thought he had gotten away with it. But Moses was exposed the next day and had to flee for his life in the wilderness. Moses went from high society to desert nomad in just one day. And you're talking about a drastic change in everything about his life.

Moses probably felt like his life was over and thought there was no chance for him ever again doing anything of significance. But, even though what Moses did was evil and wrong, God did not abandon him. God took Moses' evil and turned it into a means for good by preparing him for the challenge of his life - calling on Pharaoh to release all the Hebrew slaves.

Perhaps you can relate to what Moses went through. No matter how bad your fall or how serious your character flaw or how much difficulty you face in life - don't give up. Turn to the Lord with trust and let God do something powerful in your life. Let God develop all the Godly attributes that He wants you to have in your life. Just like He did for Moses, God still has great plans for your life!
